Chris’ story is in a special eBay edition of entrepreneur magazine.
The back page story, “Wheeling and Dealing” is a well written piece by April Y. Pennington of how Chris’ used eBay, while recovering from his ischemic stroke to the spinal cord, to help him feel as if he was still a productive member of our society.
In the article Pennington shares Chris’ story of how in the fall of 2002, after surviving his stroke, Chris took his hobby of the previous 18 months, and turned it into a startup business on eBay.
Pennington reported how focusing in on sourcing and selling sports memorabilia helped Chris feel as if he still had something to offer to our society. She also wrote about how Chris took the passion of eBay that was growing inside and began to help others to succeed on the site by earning eBay education specialist certification and teaching a hands on eBay class for Modesto junior College
The short one-page story illustrates how Chris refused to allow any disability or limitation limit his potential.
